How to diagnose systemic candida??

I know that there have been posts regarding treatment of Candida, but I wanted to get others opinion about the best way to DIAGNOSE systemic candidia--stool culture, salivary D-Arabinatol, throat culture, others? I saw a husband and wife today, both adamant that they had Candida and wanted a lab to verify this for them. She has an erythematous rash all over for several years as a result of a blood transfusion and swears the etiology is Candida, and the husband was diagnosed with Candida osteomyelitis and wants to know how he developed this.
