Blood-Thinner Contaminant Traced to Chinese Plant

(HealthDay News) -- The contaminant found in the blood-thinner heparin, which has been linked to hundreds of allergic reactions and possibly 19 deaths in the United States, has been traced to a Chinese plant that processed raw ingredients for the drug, U.S. health officials said Friday.

As a result, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said it will start testing all heparin products to be imported into the United States. The announcement comes as the agency continues its investigation into the contamination with heparin produced by Baxter Healthcare Corp., of Deerfield, Ill.

The heparin was supplied to Baxter by Scientific Protein Laboratories of Waunakee, Wisc., and its Changzhou SPL plant in Changzhou City, China. The company is Baxter's main supplier of the active pharmaceutical ingredient in heparin.

"The active pharmaceutical ingredient comes from the Changzhou SPL plant in China," Dr. Janet Woodcock, director of the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said during an afternoon teleconference.

"The FDA conducted an inspection in this plant, and we obtained 28 samples of the active pharmaceutical ingredient," Woodcock said. "We found 20 of these samples had a heparin-like contaminant."

In light of the finding, the FDA has placed the Changzhou SPL plant on "import alert," Woodcock said, meaning the plant has agreed not to export any more heparin to the United States.

In a statement released late Friday, Baxter said its staffers "have been working seven days a week since late December 2007" trying to determine the nature of the contaminant. The company has so far ruled out a number of infectious pathogens, dioxins or the pufferfish toxin (tetrodoxin).

"While Baxter's analysis is not complete, the company has evidence that the unknown material is a highly sulfated glucosaminoglycan-like (GAG-like) material," the company said. "While heparin-like, the material is structurally different from naturally-occurring heparin. The unknown material has approximately the same molecular weight as heparin and is similar in other ways, which is why standard testing would not detect its presence."

In the meantime, all other heparin destined for the United States from abroad must be tested for the contaminant by the manufacturers of the drug, the FDA's Woodcock said. Five manufacturers have agreed to such testing. Any manufacturers that don't agree to test will have their products withheld by the FDA for testing by the agency, she said.

These five manufacturers that have agreed to the testing make up a "substantial" portion of the heparin supply in the United States, Woodcock said. "Manufacturers making this test commitment will be able to import the active product ingredient from overseas sources without delay to avoid shortages in supply of heparin, which would also be a very dangerous situation for patients," she said.

Heparin is a blood thinner often given to dialysis patients and people undergoing heart surgery. The raw materials for the drug come from the mucous lining of pig intestines. Many of those pigs come from rural farms in China, with the intestines often processed by unregulated mom-and-pop workshops before further processing at Scientific Protein's plant in Changzhou.

The FDA hadn't uncovered a direct link between the contaminant and the adverse reactions and deaths. "We know that some of the suspect batches of heparin that were causing the adverse events have this contaminant in it. So there is an association between the contaminant in the presence of adverse events, but it is not a direct causal link yet," Woodcock said at a March 5 press conference.

Since the end of December, there have been 785 reports of allergic reactions associated with Baxter's heparin product. This compares with less than 100 reports of adverse reactions in all of 2007.

There also have been 46 deaths among heparin users, 19 possibly linked to the drug and four more conclusively so, according to the FDA.

Adverse reactions included difficulty breathing, nausea or vomiting, excessive sweating and falling blood pressure, which can lead to life-threatening shock.

A German company that recalled its heparin products last week found that some batches contained the same heparin-like contaminant in China, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

Rotexmedica GmbH tested its recalled heparin and found that ingredients purchased from the Chinese company Yantai Dongcheng Biochemicals were contaminated, Olaf Schagon, head of quality management at Rotexmedica, told the Journal.

Contaminated products from China have been an ongoing worry for the FDA. If the heparin contamination turns out to be deliberate, it would be reminiscent of last year's scandal when a Chinese company was charged with adding the toxic chemical melamine to an ingredient used in U.S. pet food that killed thousands of dogs and cats. The melamine let the ingredient pass chemical inspections for protein content, the Associated Press reported.

Study Reveals E.Coli's Grip on Gut U.S

(HealthDay News) -- U.S. scientists have discovered how a potentially deadly form of E. coli bacteria adheres to and colonizes the gut.

Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli O157:H7A, or E. coli, is a common cause of food poisoning.
The authors of the study hope the breakthrough will one day help with disease prevention strategies. But others say breakthroughs like that are still far off.

"The study was conducted in vitro, not in an animal model, human or otherwise," noted Dr. Pascal James Imperato, distinguished service professor and chair of the department of preventive medicine and community health at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in New York City. "Whether this in vitro result is reflective of what happens in vivo [in the gut] remains to be demonstrated."

There are several strains of E. coli and one in particular, E. Coli 0157:H7, can be deadly.
Human infections most often result from eating uncooked ground beef, because cattle carry the pathogen in their intestines without getting sick. E. coli can also be acquired from consuming contaminated dairy products, vegetables, unpasteurized juice, through person-to-person contact and through either swimming in or drinking water contaminated with sewage.

Infection with E. coli 0157:H7 can result in abdominal cramps and bloody diarrhea and, less commonly, a condition called hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), which is characterized by anemia and kidney failure and can end in death.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that 73,000 infections and 61 deaths are attributable to E. coli 0157:H7 each year. The very young and the very old are particularly prone to developing life-threatening HUS.

For this study, the researchers at the University of Arizona, Tucson, found that several proteins bind together to form a structure known as an adhesive type IV pilus, that they call hemorrhagic coli pilus (HCP). This HCP bundle allows the bacteria to attach to human intestinal epithelial cells, the researchers said.

The authors also found that individuals with HUS had an immune response to one component of HCP.

The research group is now looking to start experiments in animals and/or humans. "In our lab, we did in vitro experiments, but we are trying some collaboration with other universities to do some in vivo [in animals/humans] experiments," said Partha Samadder, a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Jorge A. Giron, the study's lead author.

"Overall, it all has to be corroborated by others," Imperato said. "All that said, meaningful therapeutic interventions to prevent this cascade of molecular biological events will be years off. Meanwhile, the key is to prevent these infections in the first place."

There are ways to help prevent foodborne illness. They include:
  • Make sure ground beef and other meats as well as eggs are well cooked before you eat them.
  • Wash raw fruits and vegetables with soap. Pay particular attention to leafy greens as there are lots of crevasses and cracks where E. coli can hide.
  • Don't chop vegetables on the same block where you just made beef hamburgers or prepared other meat. Keep raw meat separate from ready-to-eat foods.
  • Keep raw and ready-to-eat foods completely separate.
  • Refrigerate leftovers promptly.
  • Avoid bruised produce such as tomatoes.
  • Make sure all cooking utensils including meat thermometers and cutting boards are thoroughly cleaned with soap and hot water after you've handled them.
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and hot water.
  • Drink only pasteurized milk, juice or cider.
  • Drink municipal water that has been treated with chlorine or another disinfectant.

U.S. Arthritis Numbers, Costs Soaring

(HealthDay News) -- As America's baby boomers move into late middle age, arthritis and other rheumatic conditions are taking up an ever larger chunk of health-care spending, a federal study warns.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report, which spans the six years from 1997 to 2003, detected a 25 percent jump in the number of adult Americans with arthritis and other rheumatic conditions. Overall, more than 46 million people now suffer from arthritis, compared to 36.8 million in 1997.

That means more than one in every five adult Americans now has arthritis, the CDC says.
The total annual tab to care for these patients: almost $81 billion.

The $81 billion figure represents three percent of U.S. gross domestic product (GDP), "a startling figure," said Louise Murphy, an Atlanta epidemiologist who worked with the CDC on the report.

Something must be done to turn these figures around, experts say.

"An aging population isn't something that we can control, but you can try to make the population healthier. We really have to push public health programs that improve food consumption and the ability to exercise," said Edward Yelin, professor of medicine and health at the University of California, San Francisco, and lead author of the study.

Baby boomers -- Americans born between 1946 and 1964 -- are leading the surge. Of the nine million people newly diagnosed with arthritis or rheumatoid conditions during the six-year study, 66 percent of those people were between the ages of 44 to 64.

Significant, too, according to researchers, was that most of the increases in arthritis and other rheumatoid conditions occurred among people who had other health worries, such as diabetes or heart conditions. In this group, the prevalence of arthritis increased by 28 percent, from 31.8 million to 40.8 million, compared to a 6 percent increase for those who were otherwise healthy, 5 million to 5.3 million.

Overweight and obesity are prime culprits, Yelin said. "Higher levels of body mass index (BMI) are associated with higher rates of osteoarthritis," he said. "And osteoarthritis in the joint this year is the joint replacement five to ten years down the road."

Caring for these new patients doesn't come cheap. Attendant costs for treating people with arthritis rose by 24 percent between 1997 and 2003 -- from $65 billion to $81 billion, the report found.

Murphy said she and her colleagues were surprised to find the cost increases mostly attributable to people rather than procedures.

"We thought that the average costs [of treating arthritis and other rheumatic conditions] would increase because of the cost of the costly drugs, and the increased number of hip and knee surgeries," she said.

But instead they learned that while per-person spending for prescription drugs did climb sharply, almost doubling during the six-year period, other costs, including hospital stays, dropped enough so that actual per-person spending remained unchanged, Murphy said.
"We found that the driving reason for the higher spending was the increase in the number of people with arthritis," she said.

The study also reported that the jump in the number of arthritis sufferers meant that raw earnings losses due to arthritis among working adults (ages 18-65) increased by $9 billion from 1997 to 2003, although on a per-person basis during the same time period, the amount of lost wages slightly decreased for working adults, from $4,551 to $3,613.

"Why? I think it has to do with the state of the labor market at the two points, but this is pure speculation. The important point is that population growth meant a substantial national impact, even though on a personal level, on average, there was a lower figure."" said Yelin.

The report is published in the May issue of Arthritis & Rheumatism.

Dr. Doyt Conn, professor of medicine and director of the division of rheumatology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, said the study pointed out the health care consequences of treating the large aging population. He particularly noted the jump in drug costs facing arthritis sufferers -- $1,635 per person in 2003 versus $899 in 1997.

"Our nation is going to have to confront this issue and see if we can do a good job with reducing the cost of drugs," Yelin said.

Murphy urged those with arthritis to become proactive in reducing their pain and improving their health.

"There are ways to cope with arthritis pain through self-management and through weight loss," she said.

The Cleansing Diet

Healing the liver can be helped through the use of foods friendly to the organ and a diet that contributes to overall health. By: Kerri Buckley “There are two ways to clean a dirty water glass,” my teacher observed, with the studied deliberation that told me he was going to say something simple but with vast implications. “The first is to turn it upside down and wash it out.”

He paused for me to digest what he’d said. “The second is to let fresh water run into it, fill it, and overflow—continuously running in and out over a long period of time.” Then he asked, “Which do you think works best?” I hesitated, suspecting it was a setup.

Before I could venture a reply, he volunteered, “You think it’s the first, the emptying and the washing, but it’s not. The gradual approach is more thorough in the long run.” — From Radical Healing by Rudolph Ballentine, M.D. Facing a diagnosis or treatment plan for an illness like hepatitis C can be overwhelming because with that diagnosis or symptoms of this serious condition also comes a feeling of powerlessness over your body and ultimately over your life.Hepatitis C is a complicated and insidious virus involving much more than just the liver, and there are many things to educate yourself about.

You’ll have decisions to make about your treatment plan. Will you choose traditional therapy and interferon, alternative treatments, or a combination of both? As a certified chef who has been working with the special diet population for 20 years, I find that people truly heal best when they have hope and when they feel as if they themselves are most responsible for their own health. They adopt the attitude that their practitioners are partners in their healing journey, and they choose the therapies and healers that work best for them.

Clean Up Your Diet One thing that is dramatic in both empowering people and bringing rapid, physical relief is a cleansing diet. A gentle and consistent cleanse with foods not only takes the load off the liver to process food, it improves digestion, cleans the lymphatic system, and energizes and strengthens the immune system. It can be used with both traditional and alternative medicine. A competent cleansing program will include enzyme therapy, alkalize the body with vegetables, cleanse all the toxins from the body, and help restructure the body’s defenses. The drastic improvement in well-being offers hope, and hope is the spark that ignites the process of healing.

There is an emerging group of doctors who are blazing a trail in a new methodology of healing. They are medical doctors, naturopaths, chiropractors, and biologists. There are centers around the country that deal with cleansing the body of toxins, such as the Hippocrates Institute in Florida, Bastyr University’s Hepatitis C Clinic north of Seattle, the Gonzalez clinic in New York, and the Martha’s Vineyard Holistic Retreat.

These centers are producing miracles, and practitioners of all kinds are following the advice of this new breed of physician—physicians like research biologist Robert Young, naturopathic doctor Hulda Clark, Dr. Rudolph Ballentine, author of Radical Healing, and Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, known for his break with conventional medicine in treating cancer patients and others with chronic diseases with methods like coffee enemas and enzyme therapy.

The advice they share is not new—Hippocrates advocated a plant-based diet 2,500 years ago, along with pure water, sunshine, rest, and fresh air. He believed that the body would heal itself if nurtured with these conditions. What is new is the level of research. It takes physics and microbiology to a very new and exciting level—one that can help patients with chronic illnesses.

How Your Body Cleanses To understand how a cleanse works, you should have a basic understanding of how the body cleanses itself. It is a miraculous process. Our bodies cleanse primarily through the colon, skin, lungs, and bladder. Assisting these four primary ways of elimination are the liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system.

The liver is responsible for most of the body’s detoxification. It processes and converts the body’s fuel supply from foods. It breaks down fats and detoxifies substances like alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, pesticides on produce, drugs, antibiotics, unfiltered water, chemicals, and additives in processed foods. If the liver is overworked or not functioning properly, it can’t convert toxins into waste matter for elimination, and you can end up literally poisoning yourself—a process called autointoxication.

The liver is the organ with the most enzyme systems, and it is enzymes that enable it to do its job well. Factors that stress the liver are improper digestion (a result of eating cooked and processed foods), yeast overgrowth, parasites, fats in the diet, dehydration, and inadequate water intake. Clark, author of The Cure For All Diseases says, “One-hundred percent of all cancer patients have parasites in the liver.

Cleansing the liver is the most powerful procedure you can do to improve your body’s health.” She says you must also cleanse the body by getting rid of all toxins in the body, including amalgam and polluted water—that is, water with heavy metals or PCBs. After following her protocol at her clinic for two to three weeks, she says, “Patients simply don’t have the virus present in their bodies anymore.” Watching Your pH A program that cleanses the liver removes those substances from a diet that would normally require the liver to work harder.

This means adding live enzymes to the diet rather than depleting them from the liver and alkalizing the body. Both goals are accomplished with fresh, organic vegetables. Young says, “There is only one illness, one disease—and that disease is improper pH balance in the body due to an acidic environment. You cannot separate disease from acidity.”

He goes on to say, “Our health can be measured in only one way, whether our tissues are more acidic in pH or more alkaline. The body becomes acidic by our eating, drinking, and thinking.” According to his research, when the body utilizes food at the cellular level, it leaves an ash that is either acid or alkaline in nature. If the ash is alkaline, it is easily handled by the body and used for fuel-energy and repair. If it is acidic, it acts as a toxin, and the stress placed upon the body leads towards decline and eventual disease.

When the tissues in the body are alkaline, microbes within the body are inert or they regenerate and repair, but when tissues are acidic they take on the natural role of decomposing the body. The body becomes diseased. The average American diet is mostly acidic. Foods that are acidic are meats, soft drinks, yeasted breads, coffee, tea, cheeses, dairy products, sugars, most fruits, and all fried and junk food. Foods that are alkaline are vegetables and legumes.

With regard to any disease of the liver, including cancer and hepatitis, Young says, “In an alkaline environment, the liver is capable of regenerating itself—in six weeks you can have a brand new liver.” He compares our bodies to that of a fish in a fishbowl. “The fish is only as sick as the water it lives in,” Young says. “If you change the water in a fishbowl, the fish gets well. Since our bodies are 70 percent fluid, changing the fluid environment changes our health, and you do that with your foods, drinks, and thinking.”

The Internal Environment Lloyd Katz, a chiropractic doctor in Amherst, Va., agrees. “Louis Pasteur was on his deathbed when he admitted that the terrain is more important than the bug. Our diet is essentially everything we take into our body—food, drink, air, our thoughts, even what we watch on television.” Dr. Katz says he has seen people who had to be carried in to treatment and had lost hair due to chemotherapy and were “as weak as kittens” regain their health in only weeks from raw foods and wheat grass enemas. “It is truly amazing what the body is able to do when cleansed and provided with the right environment.”

Proper digestion is essential for a healthy liver and begins in the mouth with the enzymes produced by the chewing process. As we age, our stomachs are less capable of producing the enzymes that help break down food. All enzymes in foods are destroyed above 117 degrees Fahrenheit. Without enzymes, proteins (amino acids) are difficult to digest. Keeping the colon clean is essential for a cleanse.

This is accomplished by adding fiber to your diet, drinking lots of water, chewing everything well, and taking at least a brisk walk every day. Some people might benefit by seeing a colon therapist. Jeremy Rodrock, a chiropractic doctor from Baldwin City, Kan., concentrates on digestion as a way to improve immunity with his patients who have HCV. “Mainstream treatments for hepatitis C suppress the immune system,” he says. “I usually recommend raw fruits and vegetables for the antioxidants and the fiber.

I also tell my patients to avoid all ‘white’ foods—anything with white flour or any product that has been bleached. White foods tend to have chemicals because they are processed.” Michael Taylor is a biologist and microscopist—he looks closely at blood samples of people to determine what kind of microbes are present in the body. He says there is a whole new vocabulary necessary with this new thought of “bio-ecology.”

Taylor says the most important thing a person with HCV can do is “realize the body strives to heal itself daily. Remove the things supporting the microbes within the terrain, and replace it with whole foods as a supplement to rebalance.” He also stressed that you should recognize denial or resistance to change and eliminate it.

Foods For Health A cleanse should consist of mostly raw foods, simple proteins, such as beans and legumes, whole grains, fish, and lots of pure water. Cleansing will starve the overgrowth of yeast present and balance the body’s pH through foods that alkalize. Raw foods are freshly harvested foods that are not cooked or processed in any way. These foods are packed with fully functioning enzymes that help your body with digestion. For disease prevention, five servings of vegetables a day are recommended by such organizations as the American Dietetic Association and American Cancer Society.

Through Dr. Young’s research, it is easy to understand why. He advocates an 80/20 ratio of raw foods to cooked foods. You can get four to five servings of vegetables in two cups of freshly juiced vegetables. Buying a juicer is the best investment you can make in your health, he says. Wheat grass juice is an excellent cleanser.

Don’t stop with the juice, however. Eat small and frequent meals to keep your calorie intake up and add more vegetables, raw or lightly steamed—like zucchini, braised cabbage, or fresh tomato and cucumber salad—along with green drinks, whole grains, and plant-based sources of protein, such as beans, chickpeas, soy, and nuts.

Use herbs and spices liberally. Avoid sugar and even most fruits when you cleanse, because the sugar causes a yeast overgrowth and makes you crave more sugar. Breads with yeast should be avoided, but sprouted breads are available at health food stores and flatbreads are easy to make. Stevia can be used in place of other sweeteners and does not contribute to the growth of yeast. Include essential fatty acids such as flaxseed oil.

Avoid caffeine. Grain coffee tastes similar and does not affect the body’s pH the way that coffee does. Herb teas are wonderful, especially mate and lapacho. Nut milks are delicious, easy to make, and great for cleansing. Include lots of fresh water—the rule is one ounce of purified water per pound of body weight. Green powders also are fabulous for the liver. Smoothies made from soy or rice milk, green powders, protein powder, and natural flavorings satisfy your cravings while keeping up your protein intake.

The green powders are easy to digest and are full of enzymes. Smoothies are fast and easy to make, and they go a long way in helping your body cleanse and rebuild. The Natural Way To Eat The Hippocrates Institute in Florida is known for its persistent and steadfast education on raw foods. General manager Reenie Brewer says, “I see miracles here every day.

People come in with walkers and canes, and they get well. It’s all accomplished through their efforts to stop putting into their bodies the things that don’t belong there and replace them with the things that do.” If you are used to meat and potatoes or daily fast food, a cleansing diet will be very different. It is, in fact, a most natural way to eat.

It is time for us to learn to eat to live instead of living to eat. This is not really a diet, but a process. It is a choice to be proactive in improving your own health, immunity, and energy levels. People often ask how long they should eat this way.

It should be slow, gradual, and consistent—a lifelong process. You don’t have to declare yourself a vegetarian to benefit from a diet that is 80 percent raw. If you find yourself feeling much better, you won’t mind getting creative with veggies, grains, and legumes. There are cookbooks on raw foods that contain recipes for raw, enzyme rich, dehydrated foods.

You can even make bread and pizza this way. As you cleanse the body and starve the yeast, you may find that you no longer crave sugar, hamburgers, and coffee. Below you’ll find some recipes that will help you cleanse, will alkalize your body, and are rich in enzymes.

To your health, to your liver, and to hope!

CHAPTER 7:The Blood and the Third Anatomical Element by Antoine Bechamp

JUSTIFICATION OF THE DOCTRINE THAT THE BLOOD IS A FLOWING TISSUE AND, AS SUCH, SPONTANEOUSLY ALTERABLE. M. PASTEUR AND THE GERMS OF THE AIR. CH. ROBIN AND THE ALTERATION OF THE BLOOD. MICROZYMAS AND SPORES OF SCHIZOMYCETES; MICROZYMAS AND MICROCOCCUS; THE MICROZYMAS AND THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM; COMPARISON OF THE MICROZYMAS OF THE BLOOD, OF THE MICROZYMAS OF THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM AND OF THE MICROZYMAS OF OTHER TISSUES. AUTONOMY OF THE MICROZYMAS.
The demonstration that the blood is a flowing tissue, and like it spontaneously alterable, rests entirely upon the discovery of the microzymas, individual living organisms, unsuspected, but existing normally, and, consequently, necessarily as figured elements in all the parts of every living organism, in every cellule of that organism, ab ovo et semine, during the entire duration of its development and of its existence in the physiological condition of perfect health. This discovery has furnished the demonstration that all the tissues and humors are spontaneously alterable, because they contain, inherent in themselves, the agents of their alterability, the microzymas, which by evolution may become vibrios or, in certain fixed conditions, bacteria; all of which has been disputed and even denied.
It is this principle, so conformable to the conception of Bichat regarding the existence of anatomical elements autonomically living, so entirely opposed to the doctrine of a living matter without living figured elements, called protoplasm or blastema, which I have had to oppose and still oppose against certain savants to justify the fact that the blood is really a tissue and as such spontaneously alterable.
The following is a statement of the starting point of the dispute and of the denial.
The fact of the spontaneous alterability of organic matters under the conditions which Macquer specified was admitted in science as an incontestable truth. I have described, in the first chapter, how this belief had been so generalized, that the spontaneous alteration of all proximate principles (even that of cane sugar) was admitted. But, as I have demonstrated, it is only through the action of germs of the air, whose existence, even notwithstanding the hypothesis of Spallanzani was denied, that this alteration occurred which had the appearance of being spontanteous. But at the same time that I demonstrated that Macquer was right as regards plants and animals, tissues and humors, I showed that of the three conditions specified by Macquer, suitable humidity, a certain temperature and momentary contact with the air, the first two only were essential, the air and its germs might be entirely suppressed.
M. Pasteur admitted the spontaneous alterability of organic matters in general and explicitly asserted that ferments, beer yeast, lactic yeast, vibrios, were spontaneously born of the albuminoid matter of the broth of sweetened yeast; M. Pasteur, having repeated my experiments, was so convinced that germs do really exist in the air and that he had been mistaken, thenceforward declared that the sole origin of the ferments, vibrios included, was these germs he had previously disregarded, and that consequently these germs were the first cause of the spontaneous alteration of all organic matters without exception. He experimented for the purpose of proving that without the germs of the air unputrefying corpses would accumulate upon the earth and even calculated the consequences of such accumulation. Thence to deny the microzymas and contest the consequences of their discovery was but a step which, later, he did not fail to make. In fact his own experiments on milk and on boiled urine, those upon blood and upon raw meat, were made by him, in the ardor of his new conviction for the purpose of combatting the doctrine of spontaneous generation by the same weapons I had employed, and not against the microzymas which I had not yet named. It was only in 1876 that M. Pasteur began to deny and to dispute the facts of the microzymian theory which had been nearly all published in 1871, and since 1874 had been verified and confirmed in France and abroad. But although verified and confirmed they were also interpreted; for the sake of history and comparison it is desirable that these interpretations should be known.
Charles Robin was the first to speak of microzymas as being things which by evolution may become bacteria. But the way in which he understood the existence of the microzymas in the animal body needs to be mentioned. He admitted without difficulty the two meanings attributed by M. Pasteur to his experiment upon the blood:
First: That the blood does not change of itself.
Second: That the bodies of animals are closed to germs from without, and, consequently, that within the body there is nothing which could become bacteria.
Ch. Robin even asserted that Pasteur had proved positively and beyond question that the human economy is absolutely closed to penetration by bacteria. Nevertheless, the observations of Davaine and Rayer, of Coze and Feltz, etc., had demonstrated that in certain diseases bacteria appeared in the blood.
Unwilling to admit that the microzymas existed in it as anatomical elements, they said that one of two things must be confessed; either that bacteria are the results of a spontaneous generation into the state of the microzyma, passing into the state of bacteria, or that the microzymas reach the blood by penetration in the same manner as granules of dust, etc.1 The alternative exposed the perplexity of this savant's
1. Ch. Robin. "Lecons sur les humeurs."p. 255 (1874).
position. In fact, Ch. Robin was a protoplasmist, after a fashion; an anatomical element such as the microzyma passing, as he said, into the state of a bacterium, among the ordinary anatomical elements, which he knew so well, disarranged all his ideas. But with the loyalty of an impartial man of science, he did not hesitate to class the microzymas in the same category as the bacteria; thus in an article in the dictionary he asked whence come the microzymas into the living organism? It was doubtless the perplexity of which I have above spoken which caused him to compare the microzymas to the micrococcus of the botanist, Hallier, of Jena, or to identify them with the Bacterium punctum of Ehrenberg.1
1. ibid,. loc. cit.. p. 230 (1874).
Two years later an honest savant, of Switzerland, stated as follows:
"It is within my knowledge that it was A. Bechamp who first regarded certain molecular granulations, which he named microzymas, as being organized ferments, and formulated the three following propositions, based upon researches which he had pursued jointly with Estor:
First. In all the animal cellules which have been examined there exist of necessity normal granulations, analogous to those named microzymas by Bechamp.
Second. In the physiological condition, the microzymas preserve the apparent form of a sphere.
Third. Outside of the economy, without the intervention of any foreign germ, the microzymas lose their normal form; they begin by becoming associated in chaplets, of which a separate genus has been made under the name of Torula, next they become lengthened so as to resemble bacteria isolated or associated; and he added: "It is evident that the subsequent researches of Billroth and of Tiegel are in their results only the confirmation of these three propositions."
Then, experimenting on the pancreas of ruminants and of freshly killed dogs, he declared there were always to be found the same molecular granulations, having the brownian movement, and which became vibrioniens by evolution. These molecular granulations, he exclaimed,
"Are evidently the microzymas of Bechamp, the coccos of Billroth and, without hesitation, he affirmed that they were the Monas Crepusculum of Ehrenberg."1
1. Dr. M. Nencki, Ueber die Zersetzung der gelatine and des Eiweisses bei der Faeulniss mit Pankreas, p. 35. Berne Dalp'sche Buchhandlung (1876).
Again, later, M. Nencki, in collaboration with M. Giacosa, confirmed our observations generally, working upon the same tissues as we had done, but being unwilling to class the microzymas as anatomical elements to the extent that when the bacteria and vibrios were no longer to be regarded as animals they should be regarded as plants under the name of Schizomycetes, he came at last to hold that the microzymas are the spores of these infusorial plants.
Thus the facts were verified and confirmed in every sense; they exist in all the parts, down to the cellules of every living organism, ab ovo et semine of figured ferments and are capable of becoming bacteria; but instead of regarding them in such situations as autochthones (aborigines) they were regarded as being there, either the fruit of spontaneous generation according to one of the suppositions of Ch. Robin, or as foreigners under the names of Bacterium punctum, of Monas crepusculum, of Coccus, of Micrococcus, of pointed microbe, and finally of Spores of Schizomycetes. Nevertheless, if the microzymas are not what I contend they are, autonomous anatomical elements, the alternative stated by Ch. Robin remains; spontaneous generation or penetration! But then what becomes of the dogma of closure, and that of non-putrefiability? These will be abjured rather than admit the microzymas among essential anatomical elements! In fact, M. Cornil, before the admission of M. Pasteur, declared as follows, in 1886:
"M Pasteur has abundantly demonstrated that our tissues and interior media, like the blood, contain no microorganisms, no more than the urine, except such as have been introduced from without, and the experiments of our illustrious colleague have been confirmed in all countries."1
Then M. Cornil, continuing to deny the facts I had advanced, but admitting the views of those who believed in parasitic microzymas, exclaimed:
"Messrs. Nencki and Giacosa regard the word microzyma as the synonym for micrococcus; if this synonymity be admitted, if the microzyma is merely a genus of the Schizomycetes, the word microzyma ought to disappear and the whole doctrine of M. Bechamp will vanish. "2
But after M. Pasteur's admission of the presence of microorganisms in the altered blood of his experiments, it was more than ever necessary to get rid of the annoying word microzyma; therefore went M. Cornil to Germany to call M. Nencki to the rescue. He replied (according to M. Cornil):
"The microzymas of M. Bechamp are in my opinion either the micrococcus or spores of bacteria and you are right in saying that for me the microzymas of M. Bechamp are spores of Schizomycetes."3
1. Bulletin de 1'Acad. de Med., 2nd Series, Vol. XV, p. 259 (1886). 2. Ibid.3. M. Comil did not say spores, but genus of Schizomycetes. which though very different is erroneous none the less.
And this reply of M. Nencki was communicated by M. Cornil to the Academy of Medicine.
If M. Cornil was satisfied, he was satisfied with very little, since his correspondent could not go back on his interpretation of ten years before. In fact, the matter in question was not one of synonymy and interpretation, but of a principle disputed and of {acts denied by himself, following M. Pasteur. This principle and these facts, did M. Nencki deny them? That is the question. The principle disputed is the following, just as 1 had enunciated it in a letter to J. B. Dumas in 1865:
"Chalk and milk contain living beings already developed, a fact which observed directly is also proved by this fact, that creosote employed in a non-coagulating dose docs not prevent the milk from clotting later; nor the chalk from transforming, without outside help, sugar and fecula, into alcohol, acetic acid, lactic acid and butyric acid."1
1. Annales de chimie et de Physique, 4th Series, Vol. VI, p. 248.
The following year (1866) I gave the name of microzymas to the living beings already developed in the chalk and milk, so as to mark the fact that they were figured ferments. It will be seen that this bringing together the chalk and the milk was intentional on my part.
It was this principle derived from experiment: that creosote which hinders the proximate principles from altering on contact with a limited quantity of air does not prevent natural organic matters from being altered in fermenting, which was disputed; and it was the presence of the microzymas, agents of these spontaneous fermentations, and their capacity to become bacteria by evolution, which was denied. But M. Nencki admitted both the principle and the facts; he had even avowed that M.M. Billroth and Tiegel had only confirmed the facts.
After that, it is of little moment, that they have said in turn that the microzymas are the Bacterium punctum, the Monas crepusculum, spores of bacteria, called Schizomycetes after having been regarded as animal-cules. I remark only that these various appellations prove merely that they do not know what to believe; but we shall see at the end of this chapter that the name microzyma has been well chosen, and that they are what they have been said to be, anatomical elements and living beings of a category not before suspected and without analogy.
Meanwhile the principle of the demonstration that the blood is a tissue whose change by fermentation, outside of the vessels, is spontaneous, as is that of every other tissue outside of the economy, is certain, both by the acknowledgment of M. Pasteur and by the declaration of M. Nencki obtained by M. Cornil. But if the principle is recognized, can it be asserted that the fact that the blood is a tissue has not been sufficiently proved? It is necessary to insist further.
I have already remarked that it is not enough that figured elements exist in a humor to entitle the humor to be regarded as a tissue. In the order of the ideas of Bichat, concerning elementary tissues, it is necessary to prove that these figured elements (i.e. having a certain form), regarded as anatomical elements, are really living; this is what I began doing; but even this is not enough, it must further be shown dial, as in tissues generally, these elements, almost in contact, are separated and yet connected among themselves by an intercellular substance in such wise that the smallest mass of the complex tissue contains them.
If the blood were a homogeneous liquid holding the microzymas in the condition in which they are isolated from the fibrin, that is to say, naked, in suspension with the globules, they would be separated and deposited notwithstanding the movement of the blood, because they are of greater density than it, in the same manner that rivers charged with argilacious mud deposit it notwithstanding the motion of the water. But the blood does not hold the microzymas naked, but surrounded by an atmosphere of special albuminoid mailer; in short, the blood contains the microzymian molecular granulations; and the albuminoid atmosphere, mucous, hyaline and swollen, gives to these granulations a density very little differing from, perhaps the sa hat of the intergranular and interglobular substance which connects them; in such wise that the molecular granulations with the globules pervade at once the entire mass of the blood.
The structure of the haematic-microzymian-molecular-granulations is precisely that which was needed to constitute the blood, with its globules a tissue. It is because of their mucous atmosphere, which swells enormously, that these innumerable microzymian-molecular-granulations occupy in the blood the entire space not occupied by the globules and the thin bed of the intergranular and interglobular liquid substance; and it is due to this special viscosity that the swollen mucous atmosphere of the microzymian molecular granulations, as well as to the mechanical obstacle which these present, that the globules remain uniformly disseminated and are not precipitated during coagulation outside of the vessels before the production of the clot; as to the special case of the blood of the solipedes, it is due to the great difference between the density of the globules of their blood, and to some peculiarity of the mucous atmosphere of their microzymian granulations, connected with the lower density of the intergranular liquid.
The demonstration that the blood is a tissue, and a flowing tissue, follows from the relation of the three anatomical elements and the intercellular liquid substance special to each species. There is not in it any sort of mere hypothesis.
But the blood, as a tissue, belongs to a special anatomical system of organs whereof it is the content; but if it be true that the various anatomical systems are differentiated by their microzymas as they are by their form and structure, must it not be the same with the circulatory system? and in fact that is the case.
The microzymas of the vascular system, container and content, are different from those of the other anatomical systems.
I have proved this proposition in the comparative study of the decomposition of oxygenated water by the microzymas of various animal tissues, and I then extended this study to that of the microzymas of various plant tissues.
The results will be found in the following tables and have been obtained as follows: Into a graduated tube, over mercury, are introduced several cubic centimetres of non-acidulated oxygenated water of known standard. The tube is then reversed and one c.c. of microzymas in cake, enveloped in silk paper, is introduced for from 3 to 5 vol. of water, oxygenated, to 10 to 12 vol. of oxygen, and the rapidity and the volume of the oxygen set free in 24 hours are noted. As mercury by itself can set free oxygen from oxygenated water, a lube having the same volume of this water serves as a control.
A similar tube receives the dust of the laboratory introduced under the same conditions as the microzymas.

A comparison of the results of these three tables is very instructive.
From a comparison of the first two, which relate to the tissues of animals, it is seen that the microzymas of the circulatory system, including therein those of the urine, are those which decompose oxygenated water with the greatest energy, setting free the most oxygen, and at the same time, that it is the hematic microzymas and those of the lung and of the liver which are most active; and these are the organs which are most directly concerned in the circuit. This I wish especially to make clear, to demonstrate that the circulatory system was differentiated from the other anatomical systems by a special property of its microzymas; a property so special that one might almost think that the other tissues owe their like power only to the hematic microzymas which they retain. But this cannot be, for the microzymas of the thoroughly drained liver are as active as those of the blood, etc.
The results of the second table are still more significant, for one cannot suppose that any hematic microzymas can be present among the vitellin nor yet among those of the saliva and urine. And if, in short, there remained the least doubt the result of the third table must remove them, by a consideration of the action of the amygdalic microzymas and that of those of beer yeast, which further proves that differences of the same kind are presented by the microzymas of the different plant tissues.
The microzymas of the vascular system, the container and its content, differ then from the microzymas of the other anatomical systems with regard to their power of decomposing oxygenated water; this is also to be seen from the observations of Thenard above mentioned when correctly interpreted. And these differences are seen to be still greater when we study comparatively the physiological functional aptitudes of the various anatomical systems in man and other animals.
For instance, while the pancreatic and gastric glands of the dog and of ruminants are endowed with like functional properties in digestion, it is otherwise with the salivary and parotid glands of man and those of the dog or horse: the salivary and parotidian microzymas of man liquify and saccharify powerfully the starch of fecula; the like microzymas of the dog or horse liquify but slowly and do not saccharify at all the same starch. Thus the zymas secreted by the microzymas of the same gland in man and in other animals is essentially different. Morphologically identical these microzymas are functionally different, and I am certain that the more these are studied the more reasons will be found for differentiating the microzymas of the microzymian molecular granulations of the blood of the various species of animals and those of their globules, as I have differentiated the haematic-microzymian-molecular-granulations.
And the microzymian theory of the living organization explains why this should be; it is because the microzymas of each species are autonomous in it and are, ab ovo, what they should be and become in order that each species should propagate itself, develop itself, preserve itself, and after death, thanks to oxygen, that each individual should undergo that total destruction which reduces all substances except the microzymas to the mineral condition. If they were not anatomically autonomous why should they differ and be functionally various in species and in their anatomical systems? I have already answered this question,1 and am answered by bald denials only. It is then worth while to adduce new considerations to convince those whom the assertions of Cornil and of Nencki might yet lead astray.

The Nature of the Biological Uniformity of the Bipolar Structure of all Chronic Diseases

By Professor Günther Enderlein, Aumühle/Hamburg Member of the Society for Freedom in Science at Oxford
"Who thinks he found it all aloneis dumber than the lowly stone."- J.W. von GoetheWhen, twenty millennia ago, the ancient Indians carried out the healing of all the chronic diseases - including cancer and tuberculosis - with the urine of the holy, beneficial cattle, this was not a forced illusion dictated by "slogans"; rather, it was (already) a tremendous insight, related in its basic features to natural instinct, whose origin arose from a purposeful activity of the most profound regions of the human brain, which - in the course of even more uncounted millennia before these primeval times - had ascended to this culmination of such logically substantiated actions; this stands head and shoulders above the "slogan dictatorship" of all subsequent (and presumably terminal) Epigones who, since Hippocrates (i.e. in the last 25 centuries, within the time-span of geological periods), have managed to reduce a full panoply of human-culture achievements right down to nothing. For these measures of those primeval cultures accord perfectly with the requirement of an individual researcher with cosmic mental ability right up at the edge of the sudden drop in defensive and mental ability against the bipolar primeval foe from the time of the very origin of all vertebrates, who said: "In order to really be able to heal the sick, one must restore what has been lost." In order words, a replacement of the missing part(s)! This man is the pharmacist Oesterlen, in his Handbuch der Arzneimittellehre [Pharmaceutical Handbook] 7th Ed. 1861, p. 3. And what substances are these, that had already been replaced at that time? Well, domesticated cattle, severely burdened with the Endobiont, the most fearsome part of the bipolar parasite structure - if nothing else, simply leukopathy, whose biologically/parasitologically oriented position in humans between cancer, Hodgkin's disease and Felty's syndrome has been established on the basis of my more thorough blood analysis - use up, as "vegetarian raw-food eaters", unheard-of defensive forces in order to keep at bay the threat to their existence from these primordial parasites. And the decomposition products - that freely leave the host body via the skin, bronchia, intestines and kidneys, since they are no longer interesting parasitically - are, in cattle too, apathogenic primitive phases of the Endobiont (Mucor racemosus Fresen), accordingly the lowest-valence Chondrit stages, as well as the following ultimate primitive forms of life, namely the colloids. These metabolites in turn represent precisely those forms that the endobiontically ailing vertebrate had lost in its illness as a result of being fattened up by being overfed with plant or - infinitely worse, animal - protein. It is exactly these factors that, in the endless eras of defensive struggling against this most fearsome permanent parasite of all vertebrates and man, symbolize the successes of the symbiotic achievement of this defensive struggle, since purely apathogenic functions were forced upon them by just this defensive struggle; for this reason, I gave them the name Regulators. From these four excretion possibilities, the Indians chose the urine of the holy, beneficial cattle. This urine therapy made its way to Europe during Medieval times, and has maintained itself down to the present - despite being relegated to the factors of the so-called "fecal pharmacists" - in part also as autologous urine therapy. Despite the fact that this seems completely justified by the stock of living colloids and very primitive Chondrit stages - and could perhaps even be rounded out by hitherto unknown factors - the therapy, using individually-shipped quantities of living colloids and very primitive Chondrits (in purest form) is, without a doubt, at the least considerably more hygienic. It is definitely understandable if the root cause of the chronic disease complex of the primordial parasite is shifted from a bipolar orientation of Endobiont (Mucor racemosus Fresen) and tuberculosis initiator in the primordial cultures' natural knowledge, over to dietary intake. If the objection is raised from the medical camp that the isopathy of the ancient Babylonians is out of the question for microbe-based diseases, since they had no microscopes, then the reply for the Endobiont itself can be that these important developmental phases of the Endobiont indeed are not visible in the microscope to this day. Vitamins deficiency is also not a causal, but rather at most a conditional factor. And then, when later Bircher-Brenner claims a special sensitivity to dietary toxins of the capillary region in the human body as a cause of chronic diseases, this is also merely a consequence of conditional factors that do not connect up with the root causes - since the root causes are and remain the two bipolarly-oriented and structured primordial parasites. After all, the so-called paracoli bacteria in the intestines are by no means degenerate coli bacteria, but rather bacilli from the Endobiont's metabolites, that form quite normally, even without treatment with living Chondritins, capable of probaenogenetic upward development in the intestinal tract, especially in cancer cases etc., from colloids and the most primitive Chondrit stages on up to the Phytit stage. As bacilli, these Endobiont Phytits are strikingly similar to the coli bacterium. Likewise, dystrophy is just a very small part of the conditional causes, since the primary conditional causes are essentially based in overfeeding with vegetable and animal proteins. Less in the over 1000 cancerogenic factors. Likewise, constitution plays a merely subordinate role, since the greater part of it is lost in the consequences (sequelae) of parasite overfeeding. This is very much the case for the tuberculosis portion of the bipolar structure of the primordial parasite, where also dystrophy is by no means a nonspecific basis and tuberculosis yields no sequelae - as Robert Koch and Edmund Ingber (Buenos Aires) maintain - but rather consequences of the primordial parasite's long-term parasitism, and in fact of the overfeeding of both primordial parasites. (Cf. E. Ingber: "Tuberkulose und Lebensordnung" [Tuberculosis and Lifestyle] in: Diaita, 1st year Vol. 1 1955, pp. 11Ð15.) All of these are the grotesque consequences of "monomorphism/monomorphology" slogans which are the basis for the inaccessibility of the essential nature of the chronic disease complex.
Here is a compilation of some of these "slogan factors":
1. The paracoli bacterium is not a degenerate coli bacterium, but rather the Phytit stage of the Endobiont.
2. The root cause of the infectiousness of filtrates of tubercular material is the tubercle bacillus' Chondrit stage; this was determined back in 1910 by Fontes of Brazil (Cf. Mem. Institut. Oswaldo Cruz, 1, 2, 1910, p. 186).
3. Furthermore, H. Dostal demonstrated the easy transportability of the tubercle bacillus in its coccal form (Basit stage) in liquid-nutrient cultures (cf. Wien. Medizin. Wochenschr. [Viennese Medical Weekly], 60th Year 1910, pp. 2098Ð2100, and 63rd Year 1913).
4. Fibrin is by no means a "protein coagulation" precipitate, but rather the Chondrit dendroid of the Endobiont.
5. Thrombocytes are not blood organelles (platelets); they are Thecits of the Endobiont.
6. Megakaryocytes (Metchnikov) are not normal cell components; rather, due to massive infestation with primitive-phase Endobionts, these cells have lost the ability to fission cell or nucleus. These cells have been forgotten in the studied concentration on the focal problem of cleansing in the marrow of all bones.
7. Polynuclear cell is related to the preceding, except that the nucleus is still capable fission, while the cell itself has lost the capability.
8. The megaloblasts of pernicious anemia are not nucleated erythrocytes, but rather erythrocytes having internal colonies of abnormally distended Endobiont Chondrits (pseudo-nucleus!).
9. Normoblasts, erythrocytes originating in bone marrow, have no nucleus, only a pseudo-nucleus consisting of an Endobiont Chondrit colony.
10. Macrocytes are abnormally enlarged erythrocytes with no pseudo-nucleus, whose enlargement is likewise due to massive infestation by the Chondrit stage of the Endobiont.
11. Peripheral granules of the erythrocytes are not organelles (Schilling), but rather Symprotits of the Endobiont.
12. Peripheral rods of the erythrocytes are not organelles (Schilling), but rather bacterial rods of the bacterial phase of the Endobiont that have developed out of the aforementioned peripheral granules. Later on, they break free and crawl about on the erythrocytes and leukocytes like inchworms (hence the designation "wormlets" by Health Officer Dr. Otto Schmidt of Munich).
13. Also, the globucellular and spindle-cell sarcomas contain no host globular or spindle cells; instead, these represent cross-sectioned (globular) cells and diagonally longitudinally-sectioned (spindle) cells from the mycelia of the Endobiont.
14. Reticulocytes (Heilmeyer) are not erythrocytes with special organelles, but erythrocytes internally infested with Endobiont Chondrit trees.
15. Leukocyte pseudopodia formation (dendrites) (after Bond, London 1924: The Leukocyte in Health and Disease, H. K. Lewis & Co.) actually represents Chondrit dendroids of the Endobiont - also identified as "fibrin" by the standard doctrine!
16. The sterility of human blood (in centrifugate and in filtrate). This doctrinal illusion actually represents a massive infestation of all blood elements of all vertebrates (including man) - even the healthiest - with primitive phases of the Endobiont, which infestation develops probaenogenetically on up to the bacterial and even fungal phases as a disease progresses.
17. The sterility of blood serum = the doctrinal illusion as to the contents of the serum as well in the most varied primitive phases of the Endobiont.
18. Diapedesis = the doctrinal illusion concerning the seizure of all protein reserves in the human body by the Endobiont immediately after death, and their formation into "fibrin".
19. The Culminante of the fungal form (Mucor racemosus Fresen) of the Endobiont is easy to obtain by culturing from tumors, as Health Officer Dr. Otto Schmidt of Munich demonstrated as far back as 1903 (and subsequently), and which I have been able to confirm personally.
20. The calcareous coats of the tubercular foci in the lungs are not host defensive processes, but rather manifestations of calcinosis, of the misdirected efforts of the parasite to protect itself from the defensive reactions of human blood.
And added to all this is the awareness, up through Hippocrates, that all the primeval cultures were based from their beginnings on a "true synthesis" of the chronic disease complex - which, although it falsely evaluated the conditional significance of poor diet as causal, nevertheless instinctively traced the unity of the actual root causes to a synthesis pointing to a single disease, namely humoral pathology. But by contrast, after Hippocrates, the illusion of differentiation led to a "pseudo-analysis", i.e. a misinterpretation of a differentiation to a thousand diseases. However, Babylon, Syria and India were able for centuries largely to avoid this mistake, so that the dietary errors that were interpreted as root causal - which of course actually represent conditional causes - they retained as the basis of their viewpoint, as has been maintained in this sense in India to the present, in its purest form among the Hunza tribes in the Karakorum range of northern India. Also, to what extent - coming from an entirely different discipline - is the possibility of a "truly instinctive world-view" taken into account? This from a document from the field of theology: "Now, it is entirely possible that the science of those ancient times already knew some things that our rational science has arrived at by a totally different route. One needs to consider that those ancients obtained their knowledge of the world in a completely different manner; in observing nature, they made use not only of pure reason, but also (in a certain sense) 'contemplative observation'. They were thus in possession of a sensory apparatus and had at their disposal meditative options that were perhaps superior in certain respects to our hyper-rational intellect." (Prof. D. Gerhard von Rad: "Die biblische Schöpfungsgeschichte" [The Biblical Story of Creation]. In: Schöpfungsglaube und Evolutionstheorie [Creationism and Evolutionary Theory]. 1955, p. 36. Alfred Kröner Verlag, Stuttgart.) Now, the unadulterated, unspoiled and slogan-free primeval instincts - as presented to us in the surviving ancient documents - have turned out to be superior in certain such aspects. But that, right down to the present day, the error of a lack of cosmic orientation in biological and comparative-morphological considerations still exists, inasmuch as a descent to the inmost basis of life is neglected when dealing with issues which necessitate a holistic viewpoint, is demonstrated in turn by the research into the "secrets of the germ cell" at the Max Planck Institute in Voldagsen/Hanover. On the basis of the involvement of the cytoplasm of certain plants in the so-called heredity factors, demonstrated by von Wettstein in 1924, who - unlike the genes of the cell nucleus, i.e. the Genome - designated as Plasmone the heredity factors in the cytoplasm. This was followed up by P. Michaelis, to the extent of attempting to find plants in order to make polynuclear crosses with cytoplasm of the other form. And with willow herb from all over the world, after 24 generations (= 24 years) he succeeded, and demonstrated that only the cytoplasm from the maternal cell solely inherits the maternal characteristics. Still, the question as to where in the cytoplasm the germ plasm was to be found could not be observed by this method. But this difficulty is not surprising, since these complications were only observed in isolated hermit cells, and not in highly-potentiated nationalized cellular organizations. Now, this hermit is the Mychit, the primordial cell of the bacteria. This also answers the difficult question, as explained in the article "Das Ende der Herrschaft der Zelle als letzte biologische Einheit" [The End of the Cell's Reign as the Ultimate Biological Unit] (G. Enderlein, in: Archiv für Entwicklungsgeschichte der Bakterien [Archive for the Developmental History of Bacteria], Year I Vol. 2, 2 July 1933, pp. 171Ð179, 5 Illus.) This article confirms, specifically for Microsphaera vaccinae Cohn 1872 (the smallpox pathogen) - through the genesis of the Symprotit to Mychit (the primordial cell) - that the spherical bacterial cell consists of various primitive phases of the microorganism, and hence represents a socialization of these primitive phases. For the very simplest bacterial cell (Mychit), the micrococcal sphere, the nucleus is then the Mych (primordial nucleus) and the plasma the Protitit stage, i.e. the Symprotit (Chondrit stage) and, in the ultimate unit, also the colloid, i.e. the Protit stage. Moreover, the spongiform arrangement is also bound up with it and thus clarified. The so-called "assimilated protein" of the cytoplasm turns out to be an illusion. Thus, one needs to begin at this basal level of phylogeny in order to be able to answer questions of this kind. W. Goethe's cosmic orientation, introduced at the beginning this chapter, also gives us an excellent conclusion for universal questions and issues - particularly, too, for the contrast between holistic knowledge and its collapse for two thousand years to the downfall of humankind of the Epigones: "Microscopes and telescopes actually confuse pure human understanding."J.W. von Goethe, Sprüche in Prosa. Ethisches [Prose Sayings. Ethical]. I, 37

The Origin of the Term Akmosophy

The following introductory text is excerpted from Prof. Dr. Günther Enderlein's "Akmon 1."© Copyright 1955 by Dr. Siegfried Nimtz, Member of the Society for Freedom In Science at Oxford (from the estate), United Kingdom
When Prof. Dr. Enderlein laid the foundations of his system of "perfect health", he christened it Akmosophy (thus, the Books 1, 2 and 3 by Prof. Dr. Enderlein). The word for health in ancient Greek is akmae. This derives from the (much older) name for the Asia Minor god of health, Akmon, from which Prof. Dr. Enderlein derived the word Akmosophy. He thereby characterized his system of perfect health as a holistic doctrine comprising the rules for structuring one's life accordingly. By giving it this name, the biologist Prof. Dr. Günther Enderlein also resurrected a view that, originating with the ancient Indians, Babylonians and Egyptians, had actually culminated in Hippocrates' humoral pathology. Thanks to the findings of Akmosophy, we are now able to isolate the principal factors of humoral pathology; they had been previously been assigned, in part, to immunobiology - a category that the founding of Akmosophy has made superfluous. The goal of the Akmosophic Society is to continue to develop and expand on the fundamentals of Prof. Dr. Günther Enderlein's Akmosophy. What the ancients sensed instinctively must now take place in full consciousness: the internal realization of an image of perfect human health.

Akmosophy needs to become a "well-known concept" to modern man. In the oldest cultures, the name was "substance". "That all-surrounding eternally creative principle", the active Godhead of the cosmos, [has been] worshipped by mankind since time immemorial. Thousands of years of tradition have rooted these feelings deeply, buried in primeval cries. In the simple, direct words of Genesis, the cause of all cosmic events is ascribed to the all-powerful godly command: "He speaks, and so it comes to pass; He commands, and so it is." To name is to create. Whoever knew the right name was capable of great magic. Simply speaking it sufficed to destroy the enemy, to have mastery over the forces of nature, to be attended to by spirits made powerless by the magic word, to banish illness. The Avesta coined an adjective especially for a godhead whose name is given in the prayer: Aoxtonaman. In the primeval myths, the creation of the world is traced back to the magic effect of the powerful letters of The Holy Name. "

In the Beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth." Early man dwelt in a living relationship to the cosmic heavenly forces that maintained his health. Most of the mythic cosmogonies and theogonies speak of a paradisiac state which is reflected in similar sounds such as akman, akmon - ancient tones denoting Heaven and God, found in the transition of the early Mediterranean high cultures. Pain-staking linguistic research work has assembled the evidence, in pre-Indo-European Eurafrica, for the handed-down expressions that date back to vanished sources, whereby Akman - as maintainer of Heaven and Earth - indicates the name of the highest Being of an ancient high religion. The words akmae and akmon also appear, both in Sanskrit and in the Zend. These archaic colossi, the massive stones in the palaces of Mycenae and Ekbatana, could tell us moderns a thing or two. Ekbatana had many circular walls that, according to Herodotus, enclosed the heavenly spheres; the obelisks were the petrified rays of the sun. In this image, preserved for millennia for us, the inner relationship of the stony heaven in the word akme might become clear to us. The Sanskrit word acman corresponds to the early Greek Akmon, which designates the Heavens and the Earth. Although the word is found a few times in this sense in the Veda, it appears more frequently in the Iranian language, where acman in the Zend is the standard designation for the Heavens. The Greek mythological name Akmon is evidence that the Greeks had known the word in the sense of "heaven", in which sense it continued in the Iranian language. The medieval Christian theologians glossed this name as "untiring, fresh", referring to the never-ending motions of the heavens. Asian primeval elements and cultural borrowings extended all the way into the Mediterranean region. As the crossroads of all major eastern Mediterranean maritime routes, Crete opened not just on Greece and Asia Minor: Phoenicia, Egypt and Italy were nearer from here than elsewhere - but most enduring were the numerous contacts with Asia Minor. Here, Asian and European (in a narrower sense Phrygian and Pelasgic) elements could coalesce and, in this oldest period, elevate Crete to the focal point and point of departure of a mighty cultural mission. Here is where many varied legends converge and intertwine richly, their predominance and revolutionary power making itself felt everywhere in Greece on into historical times. The legend of Europa, born here, is directly connected to Phoenicia. From the earliest times, the Cretan Ida bore the same name as the Phrygian mountain. It was connected with the same complex of legends and idols, that of the Idaic mother Thea or Cybele, the Dactyls, the Curetes or Corybants. The Dactyls arose from the dust thrown behind him by Anchiale; they are prototypes of those sorcerers and shamans who serve the great goddesses. They unify God and man by means of ecstatic dances. In the legend complex around the Idaic mother, they appear as the demons, blacksmiths and sorcerers, Kelmis, Dammaneus and Akmon of hearth, hammer and anvil. The father is Dactylos (hence the name Idaioi Daktyloi; sources for this include the Phoronis epic and the Paris chronicle). For example, the gigantic Phrygians are mentioned in the Phoronis, fantastically strong and capable servants of Rhea, who were the first to find and forge iron in the mountain gorges and ravines, five masculine ironworkers and five assistant sisters. There must have been many cultural stimuli that originated with them. They went, for example, to Samothrace as Orphic teachers, they developed the first Ephesian forms and musical rhythms - hence the dactyl as the name of a poetic metrical pattern. They first taught the Hellenes how to play stringed instruments. Here, the myth of the birth of Zeus culminated in the Diktaic Grotto. In this, the Dactyls composed the protective demons who performed rhythmic dances. They represent the constructive and beneficent forces of ature. The Cretan Idaic cult of the dying and resurrecting vegetal god, which was later joined with the Hellenic Zeus, was adopted from here. The Curetes are the offspring of the Dactyls, who founded the Mysteries into which even Pythagoras was initiated. Hercules, one of the most influential Curetes, came to Olympia and established the Games; he also consecrates an altar to the Olympic Zeus. In Olympia, the Curetes appear primarily in their healing sense. The Curetes' duties - again, merged with the Corybants - were adopted by the Orphics, and were maintained until the 4th century A.D. Philosophy has also taken hold of it, starting with the rationalism of Euhemeros and later the Stoa. The name Akmon thus turns up in the Idaic Dactyls, and the kinship between the Dactyloid demons and the race of Titans has been established. With the Cretan birth legend of Zeus, the Idaic Dactyls also came to Olympia, where, in addition to Hercules, many altars were erected to them, who were regarded as healing gods. Of these, Epimedes was considered to be the "herbalist and conjuror" and Paenaios a "remedy-bringer" demigod. How far back these traditions reach (that originate in Asia Minor) can be seen in the fact that the Ethymology of the ancients hardly mentions the Dactyls. According to the witnesses, Akmon, as the highest divine servant of the goddess Adastreia, carries out the sentence against his brother Kelmis by putting him into iron chains as punishment for his wickedness with respect to divine law. Kelmis here plays the role that would in like manner fall to Prometheus in later Greek mythology. Here, the knowledge of a healthy existence is shrouded in allegorical images.1 Zeus, overcome with rage at Prometheus' theft of fire, sent the female Pandora as vengeance, whom Hephaistos had fashioned out of clay for this purpose, who had given to Aphrodite charm, to Hermes handsome features, flattering speech and cunning and to Zeus a box - Pandora's Box - containing all the evils, which she was forbidden to open. But her female curiosity got the better of her and she opened the box, out of which then emerged snakes and all manner of evils, and they spread out throughout mankind (i.e. the consequences of thousands of chronic ailments!). There was but one hope left in the bottom of the box, conditional upon the return of the accursed fire (i.e. the forced return to a diet of raw fruits and vegetables!). This marvelous symbolism is reinforced by the illustration of the effect of the improper use of fire in food preparation, in which an eagle gnaws on the liver and gallbladder of the rock-bound Prometheus (initial symptoms of cancer formation!). All of this mythic wisdom forms the basis of the like-oriented teachings that focus on the divine life commandments and the warding off of dangers. This role of keeper of life's supreme laws and executor of divine orders was played by Akmon, the god of health. He is the supreme messenger, sent to preserve the divine order. He appears in Greek mythology as the personification of the anvil, which indicates the ancient connections to smithcraft, mining and metallurgy. The name Akmon is included in the names of the gods. Akmon is the son of Gaia, the father of Uranus, of Eros, of Charon. According to other sources (Hesiod, Hesychius), Akmon is the nickname of Oceanos and Aether. Akmon is the companion of Diomede, of Aeneas, the son of Manes, of the Phrygian demigod Eponymos and founder of the city of Akmonia in Phrygian Asia Minor on the route to Philadelphia. The name Akmon as a term for heaven and earth is reminiscent of the mythological beginnings, and is used as a divine nickname in remembrance of its healing significance, as a term for the elevated and all-encompassing, a symbol of the fullness of life and of health. The name Akmon is (even viewed purely linguistically) a "trademark" - that by which the essence is recognized, that which makes a difference. This explains the custom, which persisted into historical times, of giving a seriously ill person a new name. This isn't just in the superstitious sense of thereby leading evil spirits astray: it is a sign of an inner alteration in the patient, a change of course, a transformation of lifestyle. The Idaic Dactyls (Kelmis) retain the name Akmon in this sense. The verses are prayers, in which the individual word has a mystical character. There are also three Nymph alters at Olympia, near the Oracle of G e, on whom the nickname Akmenai was bestowed. These altars belonged to particularly prominent individuals, superhuman beings - less than goddesses but more than actual women, occupying an intermediate rank. They were a subordinate choir to the highest godhead, serving the great mother Hera, Demeter and Apollo, and had helped build the Temple of Hera. Mantic powers were ascribed to them. They are said to have embodied the uplifting and inspiring aspect of fresh, free nature; they were said to be donors of the blessings of water, which caused meadow and cattle to flourish. In ancient times, the springhouses were dedicated to them; they bore the name to which they were entitled: Akmenai. They were beings who imparted the Akmic to mankind. The tradition of the word continues to exert its effect. The Greek translation is not authentic; the later Greeks derive it partly from what remains of the Phrygian dialect and partly from supposed echoes of certain meanings. For example, there is a remarkable parallel with the word Aatmann (unrelated to the German Atem, breath) = soul or self, the highest and ultimate, inner soul, inner self. According to Hinduism, the goal of life is to permit Aatmann to develop and do its work, far removed from the body's desires: self-realization. In this magical sense, the ancient word takes leave of colloquial speech, for those who inhabit a new level of consciousness no longer understand it. The disappearance of this word from common speech is here - as it is for other words - a striking phenomenon that approaches us from the Greeks and Germans. With the education of the intellect and the development of intellectual concepts, the Greek language gives the ancient mythic tones a new element. Completely uncoupled from mythic-religious ideas, the Greek word akmaios means: in full bloom and maturity; in full power and effectiveness; powerful; in highest mental state. Akme: at the decision point; in bloom; the most powerful and beautiful time; the most powerful period of human life; the period of greatest development of power; the culmination - but also the concomitant danger, crisis of disease - vital old age; fullness of health (perfect health).2 The Greek word akme in this sense has been incorporated into English - although rarely used - as 'acme', period of full growth, the flower of the full bloom of life, the point of extreme violence of diseases, crises - e.g. acme of beauty, acme of stoical attainment.3 This train of thought indicates the content concealed in the concept of the Akmic even after it has passed through tradition. It is, in a universal sense, the proto-word for the divine powers of perfect health, which excludes any and all unilateral interpretations, which has come down to us via the human consciousness levels of the magical, mythical, rational. Unlike any other, it is unencumbered by fossilized historical aspirations and is thus, in its original form, tailor-made for a modern high consciousness. There is no particular flavor clinging to it, no possibly ineradicable historical coloration; we have managed to maintain, in spite of all the multi-layered and intertwined streams of linguistic development, the original meaning, which is to be fulfilled in its true sense. This is our responsibility, our task. A name is, beyond any word of agreement, a precious container, into which we wish to pour our effective powers. In his instructions for Akmosophy,4 Prof. Dr. Günther Enderlein has shown the way that leads out of the present human existential crisis (as documented by the numerous "diseases of civilization"). It is a long road! - but the torches of the great research intellects light our way onward. Let's get started, toward the Acmae, toward perfect health! The primeval and the modern commingle on this path: "The truth is long since found, with noble spirits bound. Now grasp the ancient truth!"Schwerte, October 1953.

The pH Miracle. Balance Your Diet, Reclaim Your Health

By Bob McCauley

I recently read The pH Miracle. Balance Your Diet, Reclaim Your Health and found several points to disagree with in the book, which has recently become very popular. Dr. Young has done great work and I have a lot of respect for him and many of his concepts on health. However my areas of disagreement with him are profound because they refer to critical components of human health. We disagree on several other minor points such as the fact that he doesn't encourage us to exercise, but others cannot go unchallenged because they are misguided in the most fundamental way.

In my opinion, Dr. Young should reconsider his position on the following stances:
Dr. Young promotes the consumption of fish, which is a problem for two reasons. First, almost everyone cooks the fish they eat. Cooked foods acidify the body and lead to nearly all disease.

However, even if fish is consumed raw such as with sushi, it has become extremely laden with heavy metals, in particular mercury. The US pumps 40 million tons of methyl-mercury into the atmosphere, China over 300 million tons and Russia reportedly even more. Because of this, mercury has accumulated in fish, especially larger species such as Tuna, Albacore, Sword and Shark. Heavy metals are replete throughout our environment, having accumulated because of industrialization over the last 200 years.

Cooked animal protein is one of the leading causes of disease. Eating raw meat, fish, eggs and dairy is not a health hazard as long as it is organic, non-medicated and disease free. The higher we eat on the food chain, the more concentrated the toxins we consume because animals have hundreds and sometimes thousands of meals that contain toxins that become concentrated in the flesh of the fish, animal or the milk and eggs they produce. When we consume animal flesh, we are consuming those concentrated toxins found in the animals. Because of these reasons, I would never suggest anyone eat fish.

Dr. Young promotes a diet that is only 80% raw, 20% cooked. He offers many cooked food recipes in the back of his book, something I would never do. People don't need to be tempted with cooked foods, nor instructed on how to make them in delicious ways. Of course, I want people to be eat as many raw foods as they possibly can. If someone is only able reach 20% raw foods in their diet, it is better than nothing.

On the other hand, I encourage everyone to strive for a diet of 100% raw foods. Most of us won't reach that goal. It has taken me many years of hard work to reach a 99% raw food diet. When I first started eating raw foods, I believed that 20% of our diet should be comprised of cooked foods, mostly starchy carbohydrates such as rice or potatoes. But after four years of eating that way, I eventually realized that chronic disease does not exist in the wild not because those animals who live disease free do so on a 100% raw food diet, not 80%.

There are others who promote less than a 100% raw food diet, but they do so in ignorance. Or perhaps they want to rationalize their inability to reach a 100% raw food diet. It is very difficult to achieve that goal, but that is no excuse for promoting anything less. It may appear to be a practical approach to encourage people to eat cooked foods, but that will only encourage and sustain their addiction to cook foods.

It is no different than offering an alcoholic a beer occasionally because you think they need it. Giving an alcoholic a drink is encouraging alcoholism in that person and suggesting anyone eat cooked foods is telling them to engage in an activity that prematurely ages us and leads to all disease. If you do suggest anyone eat cooked foods under any circumstances, then you are an enabler. People often will ask me which cooked foods are healthy and I answer that none of them are. And as to which raw foods are healthy, they all are, which is why I promote a 100% raw food diet and attempt to eat that way each and every day.

Dr. Young states that “spirulina and algae supplements . . . thrive in acid conditions and . . . are the scum you see growing on the surface of stagnant ponds and lakes.” While you may find algae mixed with scum growing on a pond, it is not scum itself and should not be confused with it. There are over 70,000 species of algae and most are quite nutritious. I quite often hear nutritionists and dietitians refer to algae as pond scum and it demonstrates a profound ignorance about some of the most powerful foods on Earth. They regurgitate this ignorance of the facts because that is what they are taught during their college years and they have never bothered to research it themselves. It does not take a lot of research to discover the truth about the miraculous health properties of certain species of algae. Dr. Young also states that algae are drawn from natural sources such as lakes.

All the Spirulina and Chlorella found on the market is grown in a controlled environment in ponds and not harvest in lakes such as Klamath Blue Green Algae, which is sold under various brand names. He also states that the vitamin B12 derived from algae is “made by bacteria that get into the algae via bird feathers and droppings. ” Spirulina and Chlorella naturally contain the entire vitamin B-Complex, including B-12.

The body will not easily assimilate vitamin B-12 when it is not consumed from a natural food that contains the entire vitamin B-Complex, such as Spirulina and Chlorella. Dr. Young also suggests that broccoli and algae are equally nutritious, which is an absurd notion. “Fortunately, a day's dose of algae differs little from a serving of organic broccoli, so you can reap the benefits without facing the risks.” A nutritional analysis of broccoli will show it to be a food that contains a very narrow range of enzymes and other organic chemical nutrients that are particular to that food. Nutritional analyses of either Spirulina or Chlorella reveal them to be the two most nutritional foods known. They contain the broadest array of nutrients and are the most nutritionally dense foods known.

They also happen to be the two most scientifically researched foods in human history. 4. Dr. Young also promotes the consumption of soy. Soy is rarely consumed raw unless it is sprouted. Nearly all soybeans are eaten after they are processed into tofu, textured protein or fermented into foods such as tempeh. Once you have cooked or processed any food, you have altered its natural chemical structure. Heat is a chemical reagent that radically alters anything it comes in contact with, including the foods we consume.

The energy footprint of soy is unlike any other food we commonly consume. All raw foods contain negatively spinning ions, which are advantageous to our health and in fact are an absolute necessity if we want to be healthy. However, soy contains positively spinning ions, which are counter productive to our health, as are all positively charged particles. There are plenty of other problems with soy and its negative effects on the body, such as it produces a lot of gas for many who consume it. Other digestive problems often disappear when soy is removed from their diet, including infants.

Processed soy products are rich in phytohemaglutinin (PHG), a glue-like substance that unbalances body chemistry, slows circulation and thickens the blood, numbing the immune and nervous systems. Enzyme inhibitors found in soy interfere with the action of trypsin, a digestive enzyme that breaks down protein. Soy also contains goitrogens, which suppress thyroid functions; phytic acid, which can block the absorption of essential minerals such as calcium, copper, magnesium, iron and zinc in the intestinal tract. The high amount of manganese found in soy-based infant formulas, 200 times that of breast milk, can cause brain damage in babies and a slowing of brain functions in children.

One study concluded that the last thing women should do to prevent breast cancer is to consume soy. Another study showed accelerated brain aging in those who regularly consumed soy. Women who are pregnant should avoid soy because of the risk of breast cancer. Soy has also been linked to pancreatic cancer. Soy can slow sexual performance because isoflavones interfere with estrogen function. In one major study, Asian men who ate tofu increased their chances of getting Alzheimer’s Disease. “Soy can be used as a transition food to move away from meat and other animal protein to plant protein, that of Spirulina and Chlorella. But once that bridge has been crossed, it must be burned and soy should be completely avoided.”

5. Lastly Dr. Young offers rather confusing advice regarding the most important component of human health, that of water. “Getting liberal amounts of alkaline water (having a pH between 9 and 11) neutralizes stored acid wastes and, if consumed every day in conjunction with a good diet, gently removes the acids from the body.” This is essentially true and I agree with Dr. Young, although I don’t recommend drinking water with a pH over 9.9 because it has become too caustic at that level. Ironically, Dr. Young promotes consuming purified water produced by distillation or reverse osmosis. He claims: “Distilled water comes closest to rain water, which, if our atmosphere wasn’t so polluted, would be the ideal source of water.” Distilled water is not anything like rain water. Rain water is full of oxygen and crystallizes into snow flakes unlike distilled water which has no crystalline structure.

Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese researcher, first introduced the concept of micro-cluster water molecule clusters. Using Magnetic Resonance Analysis, he demonstrated that water which had been distilled, polluted or passed through the body after consumption had lost its structure or inner order. It has been changed beyond its natural structure the same way cooking foods changes the natural chemical structure of food.

The water found in plants is quite similar to distilled water in its purity. However, when we consume a plant such as a carrot, we do not only consume the water, but the whole plant as well, thus the water is buffered by the alkaline nature of minerals and enzymes of the plant. But to extract that water and consume it without neutralizing its purity and acidic nature, our body becomes the buffering agent and alkaline minerals are leached from it.

I have written extensively in both my books about the dangers of drinking purified water. “[purified] water – like rainwater—have more oxygen atoms or hydroxyl ions (OH-), and fewer hydrogen ions (H+). More hydrogen makes water acidic.” Purified water is acidic, yet Dr. Young prescribes drinking both purified and alkaline water. Ionized Water and purified water are the exact opposite from one another in every way.

Purified water is acid; Ionized Water is alkaline. Purified water leaves the body dehydrated; Ionized Water is extremely hydrating. Purified water leaches minerals from the body; Ionized Water provides minerals to the body. Purified water does not provide the body with oxygen; Ionized Water does. Purified water does not scavenge for free radicals; Ionized Water does. Purified water encourages oxidation of the body; Ionized Water reduces oxidation. On the other hand, Dr. Young seems to promote ionized water and even helps promote a water ionizer.

If Dr. Young wishes to be considered someone who promotes true health, he needs to re-examine some of the basic tenants of his ideas about health, particularly those I have outlined in this article.

Everyone should store organic sprouting seeds and use sprouts in their daily diet.

Sprouts can be grown in your kitchen in any season, providing you with fresh organic produce when no other garden is available. Seeds for sprouting can be stored for long periods of time, and magically have the potential to produce many times their weight in fresh produce, full of vitamins, minerals, and proteins.

They are easy to grow-some in as little as two days. They can be eaten alone, raw, stir fried (occasionally), in salads, in sandwiches, as a snack, or sprinkled over soup. Everyone should store organic sprouting seeds and use sprouts in their daily diet.

Buckwheat and spelt are the best grains because they are not mucoid-forming and carry an alkaline residue. Buckwheat groats (strictly a seed but used like a grain) are high in protein and thus digest slowly, keeping blood sugar balanced. (Cook one cup buckwheat groats in two cups of water. Bring to a boil in a covered pan, turn off heat if using an electric burner, or turn to minimum; will be cooked in 20 minutes.

To eradicate Y/F, the rule of thumb for the first six to eight weeks

Barley grass improves stamina, sexual energy, and clarity of thought; and it reduces addiction to unhealthy foods. It also improves skin texture and heals dryness associated with aging. If you're very healthy, living in a pollution-free, stress-free environment, and have a 40% raw, 80/20 alkaline/acid, vegetarian diet of all organically grown food, then you don't need the enzymes-but then, what planet are you on.

To eradicate Y/F, the rule of thumb for the first six to eight weeks: vegetables for breakfast, vegetables for lunch, vegetables for dinner! This should include dark green and yellow vegetables and grasses. They are all anti-Y/F and anti-mycotoxic. Vegetable for breakfast are especially helpful. A partial list, in no particular order, is: broccoli, asparagus.

Eggplant, green and yellow squash, green beans and peas (fresh, red and yellow peppers (also green if they agree with you), spinach, mustard greens, collards, kale, lettuce, okra, parsley, scallions, radishes, swiss chard, watercress, sea vegetables such as nori wakame and niziki, wheat grass, barley grass, turnips, and sprouted grains or beans. Also, eat lots of garlic and onion, if they agree with you. While they are available in health food stores and even supermarkets, the best way to get them is to sprout your mum living energy.
